Q stands for Quintessential, an appropriate name for this super premium Warrington Dry Gin. A prestigious member of the G&J Greenall portfolio, Q was originally developed in 1998 for the high end US gin category. Its success in international markets such as the US, Canada, Japan and the Middle East has meant that it is now more generally available in Europe, and in the UK, through carefully chosen outlets.

Sharing the values and heritage of its sister brands Q is made at Greenall's Warrington distillery using high quality grain spirit and five selected botanicals based on the original recipe for the gin made for the private reserve of Lord Daresbury (chairman of G&J Greenall). Q is distilled five times in a pot still, first with the traditional botanicals of juniper, coriander and angelica and finally with lime and cubebs. This could account for its exceptionally well-balanced character with no one single flavour dominating. Instead drinking Q is an adventure that begins with a strong juniper and citrus experience followed by an explosion of tropical fruit and spice with hints of banana and mango and then a long, smooth, dry finish. Its high alcoholic strength of 45% abv(90 proof) makes it a good choice for the classic Dry Martini and it stands out in long drinks too as the flavours are big enough not to be masked by the addition of mixers like tonic water.
