Last Date for the Bombay Sapphire Friday Lates at the V&A

This summer, Bombay Sapphire is partnered with the V&A to launch an exciting new Bombay Sapphire Imagination Bar and creative cocktail menu at the V&A Summer Camp Friday Lates, a series of evenings celebrating innovation and design.  The Bombay Sapphire Imagination Bar is spectacular. From a distance it appears Victorian in style with wood features and beautifully etched mirrors. However all is not what it seems and in fact the front of the bar is actually a trick of light. Behind this unexpected façade, expert mixologists create imaginative summer cocktails for guests to explore.

The last of the V&A Summer Camp Friday Lates takes place on the 30th September. Here the theme is ‘Make’ and the evening will celebrate the V&A and Craft Council exhibition Power of Making with activities that explore the rise of individual maker and new technologies that are widening design possibilities. The Institute of Ideas and V&A design residents Postler Fergusson will host a series of talks and workshops focussing on the current march of the makers’ trend. Guests will be able to enjoy a fab selection of summer Imagination Cocktails that include:

IMAGINE: A light summer cocktail with floral violet notes, using Bombay Sapphire gin, fresh Lemon juice, Maraschino liqueur, Crème de Violette and egg white – dusted with a specially created floating powder design.

BLUE SKY THINKING: A colourful fresh cocktail created with Bombay Sapphire, blueberries, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar syrup and myrtle.

PUNCH ILLUSION: A gin based fruit punch made from Bombay Sapphire, Martini Rosso, Chambord, topped off with lemonade and garnished with lemon and orange slices, raspberries and a mint sprig.

Two Classic Bombay Sapphire cocktails will also be available, The Mediterranean G&T (using Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic) and the Bombay Sapphire Tom Collins

Admission to the Friday Late events is free, call information / booking office on +44 (0)20 7942 2820 , 9.00-17.30, seven days a week, for further details.
