Following its global launch in June, Beefeater Burrough’s Reserve has recently received a host of prestigious awards in some of the industry’s most respected competitions.
The new gin expression, which is uniquely rested in Jean de Lillet oak barrels, received a gold medal at the renowned International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC), with the judges describing it as ‘extremely well-integrated with lovely, attractive aromatics parading on the finish’. The IWSC win follows previous success in The Gin Masters, where Beefeater Burrough’s Reserve picked up the top award of a Master in the super-premium category.
In addition to praise for the outstanding quality of this category-changing gin, the design of this unique expression has also received industry acclaim, winning gold in the Design & Packaging category at the International Spirits Challenge.
Desmond Payne, Beefeater’s Master Distiller, comments: “We are delighted to see how well Beefeater Burrough’s Reserve has been received by our industry peers. We wanted to create something truly special in celebration of Beefeater’s distilling heritage and that would challenge conventional gin drinking styles, so to have such a strong response from the industry so soon after the launch is excellent news.”
