Here’s a cool cocktail/music hook up – a menu of bespoke cocktails inspired by the likes of Calivin Harris (just about to become the first artist in history to rack up nine top 10 hits from one album), Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé (to celebrate her headline act and only UK gig this year at V Festival this year). All About The Cocktail Director and World Duty Free mixologist, Charlie McCarthy, has created each cocktail as part of World Duty Frees recent Summer Drinks Festival, to celebrate each act’s festival appearances over the summer.
Naturally our fave is the Calvin Harris Cocktail in particular made with Hendrick’s Gin. Here’s the recipe:
The Disco Inventor
Take a Scottish eccentric spirit, Hendrick’s gin, and then add a measure of Blue Curacao, a dash of lime and a splash of lemonade. Welcome to the bonkers world and pure synth genius of Calvin Harris.
In an ice filled glass mix
- 35ml Hendrick’s Gin
- 15ml Blue Curacao
- 10ml lime juice
Top with lemonade, stir and garnish with a slice of orange.
