Gonzalez Byass, makers of the very splendid London No. 1 gin, were awarded not one but two prestigious trophies at the International Wine and Spirits Awards ceremony at the Guildhall in the City of London. Their Apostoles Palo Cortado won the IWSC Trophy for Sherry. And the company was also awarded The 2010 IWSC Trophy for Spanish Wine Producer having won this very same award in 2008. The Winemaker of the Year Trophy is the ultimate accolade of the IWSC and is awarded to one of the 13 national trophy winners and is given to the producer who demonstrates the highest overall quality of wine submitted to the competition.
