This April sees the launch of the first ever Pickering’s Gin Cocktail Competition and on 15th April, a select number of highly skilled bartenders will convene at Clouds and Soil on Picardy Place in Edinburgh to see how Pickering’s Gin has inspired them to create fabulous new drinks.

The rules are simple.

In 5 minutes, contestants must prepare an original recipe Pickering’s Gin cocktail containing no more than SEVEN ingredients, and with  AT LEAST 30ml of Pickering’s Gin. Everything else is up to you.

The prize? it’s a cracker: the winner will be invited to the Summerhall Distillery to create their very own bespoke gin working with the distillers to select your botanicals and create a recipe. The winner gets to choose his or her he own bottle and design their own labels and at the end take home six completely unique bottles of bespoke gin. Drink them, keep them, sell them, flaunt them – it’s up to you.

Tomorrow, the 3rd April, is the last date for entries so just send your recipe and a short description of your drink to paul@pickeringsgin.com before 3rd April.

If your submission tingles the judges’ tastebuds sufficiently, he’ll email you to let you know if you’ve made the shortlist, and invite you to mix your cocktail in front the judges on 15 April.
