Hendrick’s Horseless Carriage of Curiosities is just about to set off on its eccentric tour of the UK. Between July and October, the beautifully restored train carriage will pass through Edinburgh, Manchester and London and members of the public will be invited to contribute their own curiosities to a delightful collection of oddities that includes an ingenious teacup stirring contraption and a Dodo bird-caller. Donations will be rewarded with a glass of delicious Hendrick’s gin and tonic. People who register a curiosity in advance have the chance to win an invite to one of the evening banquets hosted inside the carriage where creative caterers Bompas and Parr will serve guests with a peculiar but delicious dining experience.  Louis Xavier Lewis Smith will also be hosting local bartenders at each port of call.
