Although we tend to think of cocktails as quintessentially American, we tend to forget there’s a tradition of making cocktails in Britain that goes back to Victorian times. Although of course we didn’t call them cocktails but rather fizzes, cobblers, slings, punches and many other terms. This little lovely from Beefeater 24 pairs one of Gintime’s favourite flavour combos – gin and grapefruit juice – and is dead easy to make.
60 ml/2 parts Beefeater24 Gin
60ml/ 2 parts pink grapefruit juice (fresh squeezed)
30ml/ 1 part soda water
Glass: Large Highball or Collins. Pour all ingredients into a glass over ice. Stir & garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit.
